Terms of Use
Effective: 19 August 2026
These terms apply when you use Lynks Research Hub, including the public resources, AI research workspace, Research Writing service, Data Analysis service and related community features.
1. Purpose of Lynks Research Hub
Lynks provides educational research support, structured research tools, professional research assistance and AI-assisted drafting support. The platform is intended to help users understand, organise and improve academic research work.
2. Academic responsibility remains with the user
Users remain responsible for meeting the requirements of their school, supervisor, department, ethics committee, journal or professional body. Lynks does not guarantee topic approval, a particular grade, supervisor acceptance, journal publication or any other academic outcome.
3. Account use
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for activity performed through your account. Do not share passwords or attempt to access another user's projects, outputs or account data.
4. AI research tools
AI outputs may contain errors, incomplete reasoning, unsuitable references or wording that requires correction. The AI tools are designed to assist research planning and drafting; they are not a substitute for academic judgement, supervisor review, statistical expertise, ethics approval or source verification.
Free AI credits are a platform-use allowance, have no cash value and are not transferable. Current free-plan limits and reset rules are displayed on the website and may be adjusted as the platform develops.
5. Research Writing and Data Analysis services
Submitting a service brief is an enquiry and does not automatically create a paid engagement. Work begins only after the request has been reviewed and the scope, requirements, timeline and cost have been agreed.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate instructions, required institutional formats, supervisor corrections, datasets and deadlines. Where analysis is requested, the selected statistical approach must remain appropriate to the research design, variables and available data.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Lynks to:
- gain unauthorised access to another user's account, project or data;
- upload or submit unlawfully obtained, confidential or restricted information;
- submit identifiable patient or participant information without an appropriate lawful basis and safeguards;
- misrepresent fabricated research, invented data or false evidence as genuine;
- interfere with, overload, reverse-engineer or abuse the platform;
- use the service for unlawful, harmful or fraudulent activity.
7. Your content
You retain responsibility for the research material you submit to Lynks. By using a feature, you permit the platform to process that material as needed to provide the requested service, save project history, generate outputs, maintain security and troubleshoot the service.
Do not submit material that you do not have permission to use.
8. Availability and changes
Lynks may add, remove, improve or temporarily suspend features while the platform develops. We aim to keep the service reliable, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.
9. Suspension or termination
Access may be limited or suspended where there is evidence of abuse, security risk, fraudulent use, repeated attempts to bypass platform limits or serious breach of these terms.
10. External services and links
Lynks may link to or interact with third-party services such as WhatsApp, email providers, payment services, hosting providers, authentication/database providers and AI services. Their own terms and privacy practices may also apply when you use them.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised as the platform changes. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
